Christopher Froome: “Doping has caused great damage to Cycling. But I do believe that this page is turned».

British cyclist INEOS Christopher froome shared his opinion about doping in Cycling.

“We still have to justify ourselves. It’s been at least 15 years and we’re still talking about it. A lot of damage was done. This period has hurt the sport a lot, but I really believe this page is turned.

I don’t think I could have won the Tour de France four times if things hadn’t changed.

The introduction of biological passports has had a huge impact. Now athletes are under strict control. We must mark where we are every day so that we can be checked. Everything is great in our sport now.

It is difficult to cope with the negative when you have to answer the same questions to skeptics from year to year. But at the same time I think: “What can we do? We just move on and know we’re doing the right thing. We have nothing to hide.”

Sport is now a hundred times cleaner, but we are climbing the mountain faster than at that time. The best explanation for this is that we are very much advanced in technology, nutrition, and training. We have improved as athletes, ” froome said.
