CALEB EWEN WINS STAGE 11 OF THE TOUR DE FRANCE THANKS TO A PHOTO FINISH
Australian Lotto-Soudal rider Caleb Ewen won the 11th stage of the prestigious Tour de France Cycling race.
In a crazy ending, Evan caught up with Peter Sagan, Sam Bennett, and Woot van Art, and eventually passed Sagan by a few millimeters. For Peter, it all ended very sadly-the Slovak was disqualified for pushing an opponent during the finishing sprint.
“I wasn’t sure I won at all. I celebrated just in case. I did a little push, and when you speed up, you’re basically just looking at the ground, so you don’t see if you’ve won or not. Sometimes you can feel it, and I felt like I was pretty close.
I am very happy with the two stage wins. The first one relieves tension, and after it, you need a second one. I’m sure I’ll want a third, especially in Paris, ” the winner said.
